Brooklyn Nets star forward Kevin Durant’s absence due to a hamstring injury is turning into an extended one. Two weeks ago, the team said Durant would miss last at least two games. The Nets have reason to be extra cautious with Durant, who is in his first season back after sustaining a ruptured right Achilles tendon in Game 5 of the 2019 Finals.
He has missed six games since the initial announcement and will miss at least three more before the All-Star break. Brooklyn is scheduled to resume play on March 11 against Boston. If he's available, that will mark four weeks between games played for Durant.
